HOME HEALTH AIDE PROGRAM Home Health Aides provide "hands on" patient care following a written plan developed by a Registered Nurse. They strive to work with the patient and family with maturity, compassion, empathy and confidentiality at all times. Through their communication with other members of the Agency's home care team, we strive to achieve continuity and coordinated patient care, through Agency supervision, management, and support of the patient's activities of daily living, under nursing supervision, and encouraging self-help skills. Our Home Health Aides strive to increase independence within the limits of the patient's existing conditions. Home Health Services Include: Bathing: Bed bath, partial, tub or shower
Linen change for occupied or unoccupied bed
Oral care
Hair, skin and nail car
Assistance with active and inactive range of motion
Assistance with non-sterile dressings and soaks
Meal preparation
Assistance with elimination: Bedpan, commode or bathroom
Taking and recording intake and output
Assessing, describing and recording patient's level of
consciousness
Observing and reporting changes in patient's condition
Light housekeeping and laundry

PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING GUIDELINES FOR PROMOTING QUALITY CARE Arcadia Health Care is committed to the provision of quality, cost effective services provided by qualified, experienced professionals and ancillary personnel. Therefore, the following criteria is used in the employment of our staff:
A minimum of one year current experience in the employee's
specialty or related field
Proof of current licensure, registration or certification
with ongoing validation throughout employment
Acceptable, written references
Current TB skin test or chest x-ray
Physical or statement of health condition indicating the
ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without
reasonable accommodations.
A score of 80% or above on a qualifying exam in their
area of expertise
A personal interview to assess skills and abilities
A security clearance
